Announcements - The Modern Times / Donga Airlines: Expanding Hori...
Last post by Archer619 - Today at 06:23:05 AMOver the past seven years, we've actively expanded our route network and deepened our partnerships, including our recent membership in the ELVivaJ Alliance.
This milestone marks a new chapter in our mission to offer seamless global travel experiences.
As we approach our seventh anniversary, we are proud to announce a strategic focus on strengthening our flight services between Europe and Asia.
To further strengthen our alliance network and enhance connectivity, we are excited to announce a comprehensive schedule revamp and the launch of new routes:
- New direct services to Tashkent (TAS) [Daily] and Dhaka City (DAC) [1/week], owing to the business growth along Asia
- New direct services to Copenhagen (CPH) [Daily] and Rome (FCO) [3/week], with convenient connections to other Alliance member flights across the continent
- Enhanced service on our existing Islamabad (ISB) route [6/week], owing to the business growth along Asia
- Enhanced service on our existing Berlin (TXL) route [2/week], with convenient connections to Mid-Europe Area
- Enhanced service on our existing London Luton (LTN) route [4/week], supporting smoother transfers throughout the British Isles via our Alliance partners
Over years, Donga Airlines has weathered many challenges, but through resilience and determination, we've continued to move forward with purpose.
As we look ahead, we remain committed to rising to every challenge and walking this journey together with you.
Our goal is clear: Become your preferred gateway to East Asia.
We will keep delivering reliable, comfortable, and connected travel experiences across the region.
Together, we fly toward the future

General forum / Re: Ending the late game grind
Last post by groundbum2 - October 01, 2025, 10:14:48 AMI made the suggestion ages ago that large airlines pay an extra 10% of retained cash into a fund, say of any amounts over 5bn, and that this fund be distributed late game to new joiners. So rather than starting with 15M which will get you nowhere against a 3000 plane behemoth, start with 500mill or whatever from this fund. That would for sure attract new players, I mean who doesn't like a large sum of money?!?! I've had games where I've had 100billion in the bank, and there's nothing useful I could do with it.

General forum / Ending the late game grind
Last post by Mike Swaledale - October 01, 2025, 08:13:19 AMHi Sami,
You've probably noticed that the number of players in each game tails off towards the end. This is partly weaker airlines closing but I think it is also due the the fact that the late game ecan be a bit of a grind. This isn't unique to Airwaysim - lots of strategy games face the same problem. Anyway, here is my suggestion:
Allow airlines to create one subsidiary in a different continent once they have achieved certain minimum criteria in their home continent. I would suggest the following rules:
(1) Parent must have been operating for at least 10 years and have at least 50 aircraft.
(2) Parent can only invest once, a max of 20% of its free cash;
(3) subsidiary must be in a different continent and must compy with any alliance restrictions;
(4) Parent and subsidiary can can only lease or sell aircraft to each other at market value.
(5) If parent or subsidiary go bust, the other can continue but does not get the other's assets.
I thinkt it would be reasonable for you to charge a small fee for the subsidiary.
But what do others think?

General forum / Re: Flight Planning
Last post by groundbum2 - September 26, 2025, 07:02:26 AMalmost. But all aircraft have different weight, engine,fuel tank and winglet options. So when in "route planning" the figure for pax and cargo carried is based on the shortest range aircraft of that type in your fleet. It's only when the route is assigned to an actual aircraft and flown for the first time that you'll see the real numbers. This is why you'll look at EGKK-RCTP for example and see different seats flown each day, for example 250,250,320,250,250,210,210 as the airline has different options flying the 7 day schedule.

Last post by Clark Kent - September 26, 2025, 01:46:19 AMSo the passengers it shows that it could carry is the actual number and not the number when I lease my aircraft?
