Customizable Scenarios
Educational scenarios can be customized in many ways, and are always fully private environments accessible only to your students.
The simulation can be set to run within specific game years, focused on a particular region or group of airports, or tailored to cover only certain types of airlines or markets. Financial settings such as starting capital, demand levels, fuel prices, and general economic variables can be adjusted to fit the learning objectives, or based on real-world data.
Each scenario can be configured for a single class, multiple parallel groups, or repeated use in later courses. All participating students manage their own airline within the same simulated market, which naturally encourages competition, comparison, and discussion.
Technical Requirements
AirwaySim is a fully browser-based application and does not require any software installation on your systems. The simulation engine and databases run on our dedicated servers located in Helsinki, Finland, and students and staff access the environment through a standard web browser.
This means there is no need for you to provide server capacity or maintain local installations. We handle hosting, maintenance, backups, and updates, so you can focus on teaching and learning outcomes.
