A & B Checks and Turn-around times.

Hello all,

Here are 2 seperate (alothough conceptually conected) questions, economically rolled up into one thread....

1.  Does the same "% chance of delay" rule that is associated with a Turn-around away from home base apply to the turn around time that is required at home?  In other words, if my aircraft arrives back home at 05h00 and "is able to depart" at 06h00, is there a 25% chance of delay or is that 05h00 time safe to schedule?

2.  Is is safe to schedule A or B maintainance directly against a flight, in other words aircraft departs at 13h00, is it OK to have a B check (or A check) scheduled to end at 13h00 or for an aircraft arriving at 17h00 and "able to depart" at 18h00 to commence the A/B check at 18h00?

Thanks in advance, I hope you did not have as much difficulty reading that as I had writing it !!!

Best Regards

Richard

1) Roughly the same for home base and outstations, yes.

2) Yes, it's ok.
