Sabaku Finally Profitable!

Despite a painful restructuring that led to a 50% reduction in operations and continued unrest among the remaining workforce, Sabaku has posted its first profitable month in over 400 days of operation. Margins remain narrow and we may look to retire our aging CRJ-100s sooner than anticipated but Suriname's national carrier remains well capitalized to survive long into the future. A number of modern and older aircraft designs are in consideration for future fleet expansion and replacement but for now our two CRJ-100s remain under a two year contract.

In just one year Sabaku has increased operations and international connections at the long neglected Johan Adolf Pengel airport threefold even with the recent reductions from over-ambitious expansion. We continue to serve destinations in Brazil, French Guiana, Barbados, and Trinidad.
