BODRUM - With the bankruptct of Cloud 64 yesterday, a lot of passengers are stuck at Milas-Bodrum Airport and many more getting their vacation cancelled. Tujue Hava Yolları has announced that passengers can be compensated with a Tujue flight on existing routes. "We have flights from several destinations that were previously flown by our formed competitor, their customers can use these flights instead with their existing tickets," a spokesman said during a press conference. "We will fill the void soon, but until we get our aircraft for the expansion of our fleet, passengers can use free bus connections to one of the nearby airports instead. It was easier to arrange busses instead of airframes."

"While our competitor flew with modern jet aircraft, we at Tujue believe the early jetliners are prone to problems, with the de Havilland Comet being know to crash due to metal fatigue. Therefor we still use Douglas' piston engine aircraft. Of course we are in talks with Douglas for new jet aircraft to be launched and replace our existing fleet. But until they are available, we will continue to use these reliable piston engined aircraft."
