Thanks for sharing the link. This looks really helpful. I'm determined to be the more people because even when frustrated using paint its still fun :)

Edit* A couple early tries after the tutorial vs my OG paint try :)

That first one has a really good nice crisp look to it.

That's a great classic looking livery. Well done. I like the curves at the back.

Hey Guys.

I worked up my first try at a livery.    And now having issues reducing it to the correct size to add to my airline page.   I have reduced it to a size smaller than what the max size but yet still get the "too big" error msg.

I know the one here is slightly too big

Any help would be great...

Thanks all

Here is what I do...

1- create a new GIMP file sized 800x230
2- "crop to fit" the image of your livery
3- "select all" of your livery image and "save."
4- on the new file, you can paste the image. It will be much too large. So now before you anchor the image, scale the image down. Most will work with a width of 750, though some are too tall and you'll want to scale it further. When doing this make sure the image width and height are locked together so one change adjusts the other. Center the image and anchor it. Then you can export that and it will fit AWS.

Let me know if any of this was confusing or you need further help.

Hey Bradley - amazing designs !  Could you possibly create me a design for Anglo - Polish Air Lines please. I have a Logo I made myself in Paint but no idea how to make such clever aircraft artwork. You can use my Logo as a starter perhaps... my colours are naturally from the Polish flag (red and white) but with the Gold touch wherever appropriate to give it some real zing!  Preferred aircraft: 1). MD-11    2). Fairchild Dornier 728 /928    3). 737NG   4). Fokker 100

Also a matching new Logo to go with it please?

cheers, Dave

Hello Arglo-Polish

How is this one?

Hi, sorry been away from the game for a good few days.  This Livery is excellent - thanks very much.

A somewhat conservative livery, nothing flashy on a A320 would be super swell. Delta, Lufthansa, United-ish. IAE2500 engines if you can pull it off. Font is Frutiger Next Central European Bold. Have at it. Thanks!

Hello MP81

Here are a couple options for Trans Texas.     I am still fairly new at this but hope they are ok.   Let me know if you have any changes.

I'd like to try my hand at creating liveries for others, but so far the only way I know to do it is buying a layered photoshop file for $40 and editing it that way. Do you have another way to get those files with layers?

I saw a post in the non alliance forum.     They had a link that started my quest.

I use the (free) GMIP program not too hard just takes some time.      And as for base views I got them from airline empires.    The YouTube shows where it is.    Have to sign up but its free.

Just takes some time to get it down.    Have to say it is fun learning how to do them.   There are lots of YouTube videos on GMIP.    Just start with the above link and after you have that down.   You can move onto more advance options.

cheers
