Ideas for new achievements

Can we add achievements for using highly unpopular planes, e.g. Concorde, Baade, Yakovlev, medium or small freighter planes. I find it really sad that no one is interested in these planes.

I'd like to propose ditching achievements completely and using "top airline" lists.  The 1st/2nd/3rd place stuff could be replaced by badges or trophies or something and everything else would just be top lists--most cargo in a single year instead of 10m tons in a single year, most Brazilian aircraft, etc.  I've blown many of the biggest achievements out of the water.  For example, my current airline has approx double the number of very large aircraft for level 3 and I'm doing triple the annual cargo volume of the level 5 yearly cargo.  Then instead of trying to get arbitrary achievements and competing against "the game", players can focus on climbing those top lists as goals against other players.

That's all nice and dandy for those who aim to operate the biggest and most profitable airlines, however if you aim for a smaller airline (like I am currently doing in New Zealand) it is still fun to try and achieve other achievements.

Following a top tier system only successful airlines out of ATL, HND, LHR stand a chance...

There is fun in doing crazy achievement, especially with style. I got the 1000 European planes achievement... with 810 Saab2000s, and barely 190 A320s. Those achievements give you different directions to dig in. The nations achievement are very cool too, forces you to think differently. My ARN/STN game was all built upon the idea to push MD80s until I'd replace them by C919s to get the Chinese achievements. Crazy, not very efficient, but lots of fun.

Hi Sami,

As we agreed on Discord, here is a list of achievements that could (should?) be added to the game to give some more incentives. As you know someone already got all the achievements. What we need now are more achievements and ideally a hall of fame (see Discord) which would add even more motivation if we can beat all time records.

I invite everyone to add ideas and I will update this list.


- Add country specific "Aircraft Lover" achievements. Rather than simply "European", add British, French, German, Swedish. Even Spanish or Czech could be added for the most hardcore players.
- Add "Game End: Most Cash" or "Game End: Highest Operational Profit" (potentially per continent)
- Add more levels for existing achievements (e.g. "Yearly Passengers Level 6", "Plane Lover Level 4", "Large Operator Level 4", "Aircraft Fleet Level 6" etc).
- Add "Exotic Plane Lover" achievements (e.g. "Operate 10/25/50 supersonic planes" or "Operate 10/25/50 Baade 152" etc.)

I would split those by continents, forcing achievement hunters to play in Africa, South America, etc.... Most achievements are doable playing only in Europe or North America. Having a "biggest company value in Africa" award would make an interesting battle between the king of the hills of Algeria, Egypt, and South Africa.

No graphics needed. Just a simple table. Code should be simple, too. But adds a ton of motivation.

For example, 33 players have the achievement "Game End: Most Passengers #2". I have it twice, once with 358 million and once with 9100 million passengers. Why not have a top 10 of those achievements? So rather than hunting the achievements, we also can aim to beat old records."

Level 1:  Operate a base, outside your home base, with X # of AC
Level 2:  Operate a base, outside your home base, with Y # of AC
Level 3:  Operate a base, outside your home base, with Z # of AC
