1. Is it possible to return a leased aircraft early? I wen't into trigger happy and kept leasing as soon and as fast as I could I've done some shuffling about and moved schedules from my OWNED aircraft to fill up the LEASED ones so they're generating a profit and then freed up my owned a/c to lease out so they generate revenue too... however I am stuck with one leased plane with no viable routes...

If I put it in storage do I still pay the leasing fees + storage or just the storage fees?

If you put them in storage, you pay leasing + storage fees. If you cancel the lease, you pay half the remaining amount due (i.e. if you had 1m of payments over the next year until expiry, you can gtfo for half that).

Alternatively, if your HQ doesn't have viable routes for the planes, you may want to consider opening a base?

How to cancel lease though? I thought the option would be here but nope? I have a second base but only a medium and this a/c is too big  :-\

There are minimum lease terms based upon how long you originally leased it for - no more than about 18 months. The option should appear once that time has lapsed.  If you want to see what the minimum lease term for it is, go to the used market for any plane and set the leasing term to whatever you have, and then the minimum lease term will display.
