Fleet and route planning

Hi guys, so I have been wondering this for quite some time now, but how do you find the optimal route ranges for each aircraft? I have played this game for a few years and played on some of the competitive worlds and have done pretty okay, but I feel like what has been a shortcoming of mine has been route planning and selection with the aircraft that I have chosen for my airlines. Is it better to fly shorter routes with low prices or fly fewer longer routes with higher prices? Obviously fleet selection will play a role in this but I am trying to figure out how to calculate this. At the moment in this game world, I am using 737s and 757s, using the 737s in short sub 500nm routes with 4-5 per day, and 600-900nm routes for the 757s with 2 during the day and a longer route overnight. I feel like this is working well but I am trying to find more of an actual statistical planning approach to this so I can be more competitive in real worlds. Any help or insight would be much appreciated.

Depending on how many 737's and how many 757's you have but maybe a 7 plane 7 day schedule will work better. So how you go is start with short routes for 2 or 3 (depending on how long they are have the last one get in around 8pm then fly from 9:10pm to somewhere where you land earlier around 9 - 10pm local time in the new place then land back in the am between 5 - 7am and take off for a few small routes during the day and again take the plane somewhere for night again trying to land local time in this new place around 9- 10pm and back for a landing between 5 - 7am

check this post for how it works https://www.airwaysim.com/forum/index.php/topic,71633.msg414896.html#msg414896 firstly you are using your planes more which means better utilization and potential more money from each plane as if your plane is sitting at your base after a flight that lands at 10pm until it flies again at 5 - 6am your plane is not been used enough. Obviously on one day of the week you do your a check and have the b check scheduled for that same day. Don't be afraid to go to the same place multiple times per week if there is a demand on that route on the 7 plane 7 day schedule :) but do read that post on it
