Noob question - condition degradation speed

I've only been playing this game for a little over a week. I've recently purchased a few new airplanes and am kind of surprised how fast they seem to degrade in condition.

For example, I have a Dassault Mercure I recently purchased.  It it now .08 years old, has 103 hours of flight time, 89 landings and is already down to 93% condition.

Other planes have similar rates of condition loss.

Is this normal?  Will the scheduled b, c and d checks restore condition to the planes?  I see 15+ year old planes on the used market that are in 100% condition and I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong.

Yeah the scheduled mx checks will increase the condition slightly, and you can also take it out for unscheduled mx just to increase the condition if you want, but its not really a big issue for aircraft with conditions more than 80-85%.

Don't worry about planes over 90%.  They will fluctuate betwee a checks.  Do not waste money on c or d checking a used plane unless absolutely necessary.
