Private Messaging Limitations

I'm trying to communicate via PM to a few people to coordinate various things and it says there is a limit. What limitations are placed upon Private Messaging?

I've never run across this before...

Inbox limit of max 100 messages, but also a spam protection that limits one user of sending out too many PMs within certain time frame. Cannot remember the limits of that though.
