It's just today I scrutinise its range and I find there's a major flaw! A319s can fly further than the A320s! Here's the details on Airbus' website

QuoteThe A319 is a shortened, minimum change version of the A320. With virtually the same fuel capacity as the A320-200, and fewer passengers, the range with 124 passengers in a two-class configuration extends to 3,600 nautical miles (6,900 km), the highest in its class.

:P

lulz thanks Dan380 for validating my point. Sami, time for change!

Which engines for that range? Also.. is that range for the A319 LR?

Im actually not in the mood for looking up aircraft data. Sorry  :-[

Geez Talentz... click on that link  :P This is the standard version we are referring to, not the LR. Not sure how to reconcile the data though. Will leave it to Sami. I know they certainly can fly longer than the specs in AS. Don't think it's a recent development.

Bleh! thats why I didnt want to click the link.. cuz then id be sucked into looking into the data and bleh...

Too late now..

Lets see, in game range 2970nm?  Sounds about right. 3600nm sounds like a max range with no reserves. That and I doubt thats with max pax. If that were true, then a typical payload/pax load would be around 4000nm... which no.. is way off. So personally I think the data is about right.. maybe off by 100 or so nm?

I might give you that.  :P

Oh well, you're the expert here but I still think it should be higher... 3600nm sounds good to me heh heh

From airliners.net

Speeds similar to A320. Range at 64 tonne (141,095lb) takeoff weight 3391km (1831nm), range at 75,500kg (166,450lb) takeoff weight 6845km (3697nm).

What's the MTOW for that one in reference to how it's presented in the game? Anyone knows?

I already stated this to Sami.

The A319 version that you are looking at is the LR version, not the standard version.

The LR version came out in the early 00's I think.

Trust me. I wanted to run A319s from Zurich to Newark in Beta 3 or something lol.

I think Sami mentioned once before how secretive they are with these "sensitive" information

Haha I chocked on my Dr. Pepper after reading that..

Can you imagine Airbus's response? lol!!

~ Yeah, looking through my aircraft book it states a range w/ reserves at 3040nm.

MTOW: 140,800 lbs (64,000 kg)

I bet if you C/F congfig it, it would go 3600nm  :P

Idioteque

Or do an all Premium C class and prolly get a range of 4100nm   ;)

Sami

the ranges are from Airbus payload-range graps.

Woops, thought you were saying that AWS was wrong for having A319 with the larger range. My bad i guess.

Idioteque

If it was I would have said cannot  :P
