Thumbs up for Snow management in Finland

While the Dutch keep their name high up on water management.... I put my thumbs up for Helsinki to keep the airport open at - what we call, severe weather conditions -.... 5 Cm of snow and the whole of Europe comes to a complete standstill... If I were a Fin, I sertainly would laugh my Ass off.... unfortunatly thei prime minister doesn't...

yea well... we got snow.. and I mean S-N-O-W. Just had another 15-20cm more in one day in tuesday I guess it was...

Man it was sooo cold here today... Highs were only 18C, bout froze my tooshy off  :'(

Wow... I guess my .2 inch of snow last week is nothing eh? lol!! Here I was thinking "should I go to work?"


Then again, snow in my part of the globe is such a rare event. Alot of people think the worlds going to end when we get snow... haha  :laugh:

Well, Norway is doing ok too. ENGM is completely cleared in 1 hour, it takes about 15 minutes to do one runway.... 8)

And talking of cold weather, I live about 40kms southwest of Oslo, and woke to -24 degrees C this morning....*shiver*

In my part of the world (New York City) when it snows, it usually melts within a week.  This year, Central Park has snow since December 26th - that's 6+ weeks.  Probably a record...

Here... near the equator  ;D it is 8 degrees C today.
