If anyone is wanting to lease their saab 2000 do so because I will be picking them up :)

Hehe - not if I get to them first you won't!  Seriously - a very good plane for commuter routes (under about 450nm).  They are FAST (even faster than Q400's which aren't even available yet anyway). I replaced my Fokker 50's with them and their extra speed allowed me to add an extra rotation per day in most cases. Each one makes me about 260,000 per week where the Fokker's were bringing in about 140,000.

HAHA ive had to stop going for the saab 2000 theres just not enough of them in the used market...and I can't afford new ones  :'( So ive changed plans and gone for the ATR 72-200 they carry more people and have a better seating arrangement, plus their cheaper to run, but still if i had the choice id go for the saab 2000, it is a sweet looking plane :)

One funny stuff here is that the Saab 2000 had limited success IRL : only 63 planes have been assembled, due to the fierce competition from the Bombardier CRJ200 and Embraer ERJ-145 ! :-)

I bet the S2000 would have been a real seller today .. if it would have been developed 10 years later or so.

It was simply too early when small jets were fashion.

(though Saab has a small fuselage cross section, inherited from the S340 .. ATR is for example much more spacious (in my mind, no figures at hand). but I guess the ERJ-140 series is even worse as that's based on the even-smaller EMB-120)

Fair said and I would love to have a saab 2000 fleet but with not enough to lease and the ATR having the ability to have more passengers ive had to go for an ATR fleet  :'(

I think maybe a lot of people can't be bothered 'messing about' with short, less 'glamorous' routes and just want to move on to the big jets, hence only single figures produced in the game.  I just keep ordering a few new ones to keep a constant supply coming - you don't have to plan ahead too much as you can always find somewhere to put them as they arrive. If you can utilise them for 4 or even 5 return sectors a day they easily make as much money as a Fokker 100 or other such jet.  I just snapped up 3 more used ones in the last couple of days, so good luck to the rest of you that want them!  Lets see how many I can amass by the end of the game.

I only flew one once in real life - with the old Crossair from Basle to Geneva (after being rebooked via Basle due to a cancellation and flying my first every EMB-145 when they'd just been introduced). Liked it as far as I can remember. It certainly seemed quieter that ATR's. Aren't they in a 1 x 2 seating configuration? I like that as a lone traveller.
