Just wondering, never thought about something like this before.  Is there anywhere to set up aliases in a browser?  Something like this?

@Open  https://www.airwaysim.com/game/Routes/Open/$1/$2

@Open KMCI KSJC

Jona L.

I don't even know how that works :P

and I already belong to the maintenance crew of my schools computers.... now I am fealing dumb :(  :P

I don't even understand the question...what do you mean by aliases? and your example isn't clear at all.... :-\

I think he wants to be able to open a route without scrolling through the list.

There is a way to do it without having to search through the list by going to Routes -> Airport info -> Type your airport code -> select airport from the search result -> Route Planning (my base to this airport) -> Open New Route

Sami

(I am planning to change the route opening interface a bit in future, just a heads-up)

if i'm correct, it's this:

https://www.airwaysim.com/game/Routes/Open

in which you add "/(insert base airport code here)/(destination airport code here)"...so, for me it will be this:

https://www.airwaysim.com/game/Routes/Open/RCTP/RCSS

The above is an example, which would be an impossible route anyway as they're only 17nm away from each other. But that's the basic idea. ;)

No, it wouldn't create the route, but open the page up that you would use to open the route.  Since those two are so close together, you'd get the message saying you couldn't make that route.  By the way, it should have been https://www.airwaysim.com/game/Routes/Open/$1/$2/OK.  That would bring you right to the page where you enter in the prices, days and times.  I was just trying to find a way to make the process a little quicker, but Sami said he's going to be changing the interface, so I'm sure it will all be better in the future.

oh I see, gotcha. :) Yeah it is a little tedious sometimes, when you all of a sudden have 100 million aircraft to schedule, and you have to go through the current process. :-\ takes forever. :P

Cheers,
