New Mobile/Cell phone/Smartphone and AWS

Hey all,

I'm planning to buy a new mobile (cell phone, smartphone). One of the main features must be full compatibility with AWS (and similar internet pages).

So there are some mobiles on the market which can't access all pages of AirwaySim, but are there some which can handle AWS like a normal PC?

I do not prefer any manufacturer or operating system. Also money isn't a point.

Do you know any full AWS compatible mobiles (used market, lease and buy planes, configure seats, adjust prices, schedule routes...)?

Thanks for your answers.

Cheers,

N900 from Nokia works like complete PC. Flash too...

This has it's flaws too like any phone but I prefer this over iPhone since this has real physical keyboard and also ability to run multiple softwares in parallel (like email, web, irc ..etc) at the same time which apple's creation cannot do. This is basically a miniminimini linux PC with a phone :P

If you don't need graphs and charts, then any Android device...

Bad if you want to set up a new route and can't see how the demand for Y, C and F is :)

I use an iPhone... (yes... no Flash)

The main things like opening routs etc. is done on a Mac or a Wintendows at work.
On the iPhone i mantain the company, like prices, forum, and buying new AC.

Believe me you don't want to open routes with a mabile device as the phone company might threaten to cut you off when you ecceed the fair use policy.

Now I am burning away a roughly 600 Mb a month via 3G, but even I find the connection to be to slow for proper AWS management.

And you buy a phone that suits most of your needs and works as a dream.... you don't buy a phone couse you just want to play AWS on it.
Have a go on a good mobile device shop and test ALL of them. If you can't.... don't buy it. I'm sure Apple would let you use it.

And it starts with an iPhone, then the Mac follows... or the different way round... But once you go mac you never go back, and that does has its reasons. So keep that in mind aswell.

Of course. But I usually prepare them (slot expire after 2 months so usually I have enough time) and then just add them using mobile once a/c is ready to pre-schedule route.

Note that there are some people (me, for example :D) who have monthly plans with e.g. 3 GB. Then it's not problem ;)

I have to try that on my Hero once I'll return to my country (don't wanna use data roaming ;).. standard browser or some downloaded? :)

I have a monthly plan aswell and the averege use is 75Mb... So with 600Mb I am burning away a lot more... I first had a plan at T-mobile... but even in Amsterdam their service was failing at 3am a lot of lime due to network issues. So I jailbroken my phone and got KPN in.... works a bit slower.... but I do have a 3G connection wherever I go.

But it does have it's reasons why Apple is currently No1 in selling smartphones in Europe. And actually you can run programs in the background... you just need to know how, and with OS4 being introduces in two months it will be made even more easyer.
