TransAir Launches Freight & Logistics Subsidiary TransAir Cargo After Successful Rollout of Dedicated Freighter Operations

Denver, Colorado — 17 June 1972 — TransAir today announce the launch of TransAir Cargo, a dedicated freight and logistics subsidiary established to support the continued expansion of the airline's rapidly growing cargo operation.

The launch follows the successful rollout of TransAir's dedicated freight services, which have established the airline as a significant operator in the domestic & international cargo market. TransAir Cargo will bring together the airline's dedicated freighter fleet, cargo operations, logistics planning and commercial activities under a dedicated brand & team, focused exclusively on the growth and development of this part of TransAir's commercial operations.

TransAir Cargo currently operates a fleet of 128 Vickers 953C Merchantman dedicated freighter aircraft, serving both short and long-haul cargo markets from TransAir's primary logistics hubs in New York, San Francisco, Chicago and Denver.

Together, the dedicated freighter fleet is currently transporting almost 19,000 tonnes of cargo every week, supporting businesses and supply chains across TransAir's growing global network.

"The success of our freight operation has demonstrated that there is a significant opportunity to build a dedicated logistics business alongside our passenger airline," said Jamie Lawrence, Chief Executive Officer of TransAir. "TransAir Cargo gives us the resources, focus and organisational structure required to take that operation to its next stage of growth."

The new subsidiary will be responsible for the continued development of TransAir's freight network, fleet planning, cargo commercial strategy, operational resources and logistics partnerships. By establishing TransAir Cargo as a dedicated brand, TransAir expects to be better positioned to respond to changing cargo demand while continuing to invest in network growth and operational capability.

The company's current hub network provides coverage across some of North America's most important commercial and logistics markets. New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Denver will remain the core operating centres for TransAir Cargo, while further expansion is planned through TransAir's Seattle and Charlotte bases over the coming years.

The planned expansion will provide additional capacity and geographic reach, enabling TransAir Cargo to connect more markets directly while strengthening the integration between its short-haul feeder network and long-haul freight services.

Newly appointed SVP of Cargo Operations, Heath Rowe commented, "Launching TransAir Cargo is a natural next step in the evolution of our freight operation." Expanding further, he added, "We have already built a substantial network, moving nearly 19,000 tonnes every week. Our focus now is on building the infrastructure, expertise and network required to sustain that growth over the long term."

TransAir Cargo will operate as a dedicated subsidiary within the wider TransAir Group, allowing the freight business to benefit from the scale and network of the airline while maintaining a clear commercial and operational focus on cargo and logistics.

The launch marks a significant milestone in TransAir's broader strategy to diversify its business and establish a leading position across both passenger aviation and air freight.
