The major airline serving the Caribbean area which was formerly known as West Indies Airlines, has changed with the times and been re-named

Air Caribbean

The airline has somewhat thinner routes in an area where distances are somewhat longer and this offers challenges as to how to economically serve the peoples of the Caribbean Islands and surrounding North, Central and South American countries.

For years now we have successfully developed a method of offering fewer seats than normal in the aircraft we operate, but instead offer much higher levels of comfort. Take for example the all new fleet of Boeing 737-200Adv aircraft we have introduced.  Normally these aircraft would operate with around 108 to 120 seats, yet we have chosen to offer 3x Premium recliner Business Class seats, and 80x Premium recliner Standard Class seats.  This allows for room at the back of our planes for a dedicated Bar & Smoking Lounge (this is the 1970's after all ! ). We utilise our New 737s on longer than normal routes where a fuel-stop is usually needed, so our passengers enjoy the extra comfort and pampering we are now renowned for all over the world.
