Copenhagen — Today marks a monumental milestone for Kanelsnurre Airlines as the carrier officially launches its next-generation regional fleet strategy, signaling a profound transformation in its network efficiency and passenger comfort. The airline has taken delivery of its very first De Havilland Canada Dash 8 aircraft, kicking off a comprehensive fleet renewal program that will see the gradual retirement of its legacy jet aircraft.

Welcome to the Fleet: The Dash 8 Transition
The vanguard of this new era arrives in the form of a DHC-8-100, which has officially entered scheduled service today. In keeping with corporate tradition, this inaugural turboprop has been proudly nicknamed Korsør, honoring the historic coastal city on Vestsjælland.

In addition to the arrival of Korsør, Kanelsnurre Airlines has confirmed that the first of four brand-new, factory-fresh DHC-8-300 aircraft is expected to be delivered shortly. These four newly built aircraft will form the modern backbone of the airline's high-frequency regional network, offering optimized trip economics, lower environmental impact, and exceptional reliability.

Farewell to a Classic: Out with the BAe 146
As the highly efficient Dash 8 fleet begins its rollout, Kanelsnurre Airlines has concurrently initiated the phased retirement of its aging BAe 146-200 fleet. While the distinct four-engine regional jets have served the airline faithfully as its foundational core, transitioning to modern turboprop technology ensures the airline remains highly competitive and operationally agile in a dynamic aviation market.

A New Standard of Comfort: The Cabin Redesign
The fleet overhaul goes hand-in-hand with a complete reimagining of the onboard experience. Kanelsnurre Airlines is rolling out a brand-new cabin design across its incoming aircraft.

Stepping away from standard, sterile regional interiors, the fresh cabin layout leans heavily into the airline's core philosophy of "Hygge at 35,000 Feet." Passengers will be treated to warm, premium textures, optimized legroom, and an inviting atmosphere designed to make short-haul regional flying feel as comforting and relaxing as a cozy Scandinavian lounge.

"Today is a truly phenomenal day for everyone at Kanelsnurre," the airline announced. "The entry of Korsør into service and the imminent arrival of our four custom-built Dash 8-300s mark the definitive beginning of a new age for us. By pairing ultra-efficient modern airframes with a gorgeous new cabin design, we are proof that regional transit can be both economically smart and incredibly comfortable."
