Jakarta, Indonesia – NorthStar Airways today officially announces the next major step in its long-haul strategy with the introduction of the Airbus A330-800neo, marking a new era for the airline's intercontinental operations.

The state-of-the-art A330-800neo will be introduced gradually and will replace the currently leased Boeing 767-200ER aircraft. This transition represents a significant upgrade in efficiency, comfort, and operational flexibility, enabling NorthStar Airways to unlock new long-haul opportunities while delivering a noticeably enhanced passenger experience.

"With the A330-800neo, we are investing in one of the most advanced widebody aircraft on the market," said a spokesperson for NorthStar Airways. "It allows us to offer greater range, improved sustainability, and a premium onboard product that reflects our long-term vision as Asia's premium carrier."

The introduction of the A330-800neo will also support the expansion of NorthStar Airways' route network, with several new long-haul destinations to be announced in the near future. These additions will further strengthen the airline's global connectivity from its primary hubs in Jakarta and Denpasar (Bali).

In parallel with the fleet modernization, NorthStar Airways confirms that Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport is developing a new, dedicated terminal tailored specifically to the airline's operations, scheduled for completion by the end of 2020. The terminal will feature optimized passenger flows, premium lounges, and facilities designed to seamlessly support NorthStar Airways' growing domestic and international network.

"The combination of new-generation aircraft and a purpose-built terminal gives us a unique platform for future growth," the spokesperson added. "It allows us to elevate the entire travel experience — from the moment passengers arrive at the airport to their journey across the world. This is more than a fleet upgrade. It's a statement."

As a proud member of the Phoenix Alliance, NorthStar Airways continues to connect Asia with the world through a modern fleet, strong global partnerships, and a clear commitment to quality, innovation, and comfort.
