Thank you Sami - Also please could you please have a look here - I think its a bug since the servers went down last night - I have included screenshots - but my cash flow isnt right concerning airport slot fees for the previous weeks and month in this Airline Generations Game - I have logged a bug report but didnt see where to put the images so here there are here -


I do not have $330,000 to spend on slots fees last month -
I bought one plane on lease and have scheduled no planes and slots or routes for ages to keep my green profits - i've fired staff, put aircraft in storage and still it seems that a bug im missing alot of cash -- may you please check - here below are the weekly and monthly statements and they do not fit with the actions I performed on game and did not waste so much cash - if I did I may of been hacked and someone may have logged in or pretended to be me on my account - as the servers went down last night as I was playing AND WENT OFFLINE FOR AROUND 30 MINS - I WAS IN THE GREEN - SEE PHOTO - Then since the server abruption I have been missing $$$ and all hell has broken loose with my economics - can i have a serious check cos ive never had $330k in the game at once yet in a month so how can I spend it on slot fees that havent been added too?

I may need a refund of simulation $$$ on game if there has been any mistake as my airline is struggling from it

See below that Slots fees total for the whole of last year total around $250k in cost - whereas just in the last month some bug or a hacker on my account - has made accounts show slots fees of over $300k but I have no new planes, no new slots for airport or added anything - I have been cutting cots - and firing staff and stopping marketing to stop this unfair mad leakage that seems to be a bug or hacking attempt

If you see I was in green on profit margins all the time until yesterday - I did nothing different and DID NOT spend 300K myself on this game I would like to know if cheating is apparant here or if you can check if i was hacked bcos the servers going down coinciding with this madness is nuts - I study accountacy almost for a living and this seems very fishy.. please help and refund my airline virtual airline sim $ for my airline to the value of 300k and an extra 500k for the virtual sue for the hassle
(jokes aside - i would appreciate this as I know i didnt spend this 300k in one month as Im careful with my airline and had been always making a profit - cargo dropped off suddenly with no competition and prices not too high etc - anyway have a look

I cannot possibly spend $300k on slot fees in just january 1951 and spend $225k on slot fees for the whole of 1950! I havent grown at all!!!!!!

Please explain this as otherwise i am definately victim of a hack perhaps when the servers went down last night - anyone else notice that - it siad -

The figure  $304,940 on your income statement represents LOST slots - ones you have handed back (probably automatically through lack of use).  When you BUY new slots they don't show up here. It's the way the accounting system works and is very true to real life.

1) you spend (say) $300k on slots so that much CASH is deducted from your account but you now have an asset worth that much so the value of your company INCREASES by the same amount. You just changed cash into some other sort of asset. This doesn't show on your balance sheet because you "balance" hasn't changed.

2) you LOSE slots worth $300k - now you HAVE actually lost something. The original investment is gone so your company is worth $300k less than it was. This transaction appears on the income statement. NO MORE CASH has been taken at that point, don't worry. It's a paper-loss at that point.

You say you have stored some aircraft and fired some staff, so it makes sense you will be handing back slots at some point.

If you look on your Balance Sheet under Non-current assets you will see value will have been deducted from there. It's how accounting works (very generally). You don't get to offset an asset against tax until it is "written down" or "written off".  With tangible assets (aircraft) that happens gradually over a period of time determined by the tax authorities (20 years in this game).  With slots that happens all at once but ONLY when you lose them.

If you look at your "Cash Flow Statement" under intangible assets you will see anything you have actually spent on new airport slot fees.

Take a little time to look more closely at the figures.  It probably seems counter-intuitive if you've never ran a real-life business.

So where is all my profit then? I havent spent it on crap or fluttered it away -- ive had to fire people and staff etc - -i seem to be missing loads of green money virtual for my airline

Like I already replied to you via e-mail ticket this morning and via forum private message this afternoon, you must read the game manual about accounting rules and how the slot costs are expensed.

There could be many reasons you are not making a profit but it's not clear to see from the above. I would be happy to "mentor" your airline if you like. Create a Mentor Request and send me a PM if you want.
