Why are we using ZU as the reg prefix for South Africa?

Hi, as a chap who was born and grew up in South Africa myself, I recognise any civilian aircraft in South Africa using the prefix ZS.  I am aware that ZU is an actual alternative for South Africa, but it's use is so rare I never actually saw a single aircraft registered that way. Everything is ZS-

Any reason why in this game we are using ZU-  ??  (I just started an airline in Speedworld there so fist time I notice this).
Thanks

No reason other than the source from which the data originally came probably indicated those letters  ;D

Looking for example Wikipedia, ZS seems correct for type certified aircraft.

Everything I ever saw or flew in, from the smallest of private Cessna's to the biggest of SAA fleet aircraft - never saw anything different to ZS- on any plane.  I have to wonder why there is the alternative of ZU in the first place? I don't see many other countries needing alternatives? ? ?

Aha - Ok thanks Sami. Is it something relatively easy to correct or is it something you can only incorporate a fix into new GWs as they start?

Its because PacAir will charge the powers that be in Finland a fee if the airlines owner, one Zombie Slayer, is forced to share his beloved ZS IATA code with a country. In this case, the country will likely win, so to avoid conflict the decision was made to use ZU and avoid an uncomfortable situation.  ;D

Not wanting any trouble here - may we extend an apology on behalf of every human being in South Africa to Zombie Slayer for wanting to just "borrow" his beloved ZS- code.
