The Return of the Supersonic

Who knows me here in the game, knows that I almost always use Concordes in my GWs.
And I almost always come here to show the results as a form of incentive, I want to see more people using the Supersonics.
This time, I got surprising results even for myself.
See below:

As you can see, my 2 Concordes are in the Top 2 most profitable aircraft, with the 1 having a profit far above the other planes. This result makes me very excited, and I hope it will serve as incentive for you too.
Give non-standard aircraft a chance, risk other planes, every aircraft can get good results, just look a little more carefully.:)

Enjoy!  ;D

Which game world is this? Would like to have a look! :)

What year is it? If it's VERY early eighties, fair enough, but if it's much later you should be comparing them with 767s rather than 707s. 300k-400k isn't a LOT of money! Well done anyway though. I might try some in my GW (2007) as I'm a bit bored and (as always) am NOT sticking to three fleets anyway.

1975. I would try! Concordes are good. It's not my first time flying them so profitable. In my past GW, used to fly 20 Concordes.

I totally agree with Tsune .... just one BIG word of advice before newer players order up dozens of them ...      .... they need significantly longer runways (and T/A times) than most other planes. When establishing what routes you'd like to put them on, first check the destination (and your own) airports have long enough runways !

Flying 12 Concordes for a while, 10 of them, are on my top 10 most profitable aircrafts! I'm so excited!!!  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Do you mind showing the Weekly Financial Estimate of one Concorde and one B707-320 for the same route DXB-DMK  ? I'm very curious to see how the numbers differ, especially the fuel cost.

Sorry for the bad edition, I'm s*** with it.
Below, the comparison:

Left: B707-320B
Right: Concorde

This one is the "worst" route for my Concordes for a while. The best actually are VHHK and LFPG.

Cornishman

Hey Tsuni - knowing that DXB has a very good level of F and C class demand, what pax. layout are you offering on these Concorde flights?

RALLX

Hmm... Interesting. Although the Concorde is generating higher profit, it has a lower profit margin.

2+ times the fuel burn will do that to you

In my opinion, DXB is not the best when we talk about F and C. However, I can get some good routes for it's range.
Actually, I'm flying 68/30/4 (HD for economic seats and standard for C and F).

Well... As I said, Bangkok is the worst route for a while and we are under a fuel crisis right now, so... Since I'm positive, I'm satisfied hahaha

Hello everyone!
Below, results of 1 Tu-144 flying.
*We are under a fuel spike right now!

    I TOOK  A  CHANCE    :)  :o  :D  :-\  :laugh:  ::)

I too am going to see if I can make 7 of these work for me (as a 4th fleet  :o ) on routes from Riyadh and Jeddah  ...  and with fuel heading for the $300 mark....   well it's a heavy gamble but I'm too intrigued not to give it a go.  They might end up making me money, probably more like they'll become very young members of a museum club... lets see

Tsuneyoshi

What a great news!!!
I hope you enjoy! They are really really good! :)
Show me later your results. ;)

*Don't forget to increase ticket's prices.

How's it working out for you now?

Sadly - it's not been a great success.  I can fiddle and fiddle and fiddle endlessly with price increases and seat (F / C / Y) various capacities and sort of run them to break-even, but tbh  unless there is a change in that loooooooong debated topic that the penalties of having any 4th fleet come into play to an horrendous extent the second you add routes to 1 aircraft of a 4th fleet - well sadly I shan't bother trying again.  Concorde needs 3600nm runways so you're limited on where you can fly them under 3200nm routes, drinks about 4x the fuel of standard aircraft to carry only ~ 100 pax. and so in my humble opinion - these planes will always need to be in the "niche" un-penalised category if gamers are going to ever be bothered to any great extent.  :(

Again I state - this game needs to be able to have an un-penalised, yet somehow limited 4th fleet ability.  (If it were up to me I'd completely stop the penalisation of extended fleets but I know then whines and moans would quickly come in... --> "we need to prevent some airlines growing too big ... blah, blah", yes, yes...  ::)

Heeeey!!
Don't give up, I can give you some tips and suggestions. Are you interested in?
I will check your routes and then, tell you what would I do. Saudi Arabia is not bad at all. I've played there and used Tu-144 successfully.
Give it another chance :)

Sorry for my delay here! :(

Cornishman

Sorry Tsuni - I just can't be afford to play around with this any longer. It was fun, I can see how I probably could make average money eventually with a lot of effort - not this time around though. I gave it a try.
