In all games is a big EU open Sky bug. Within in the EU every EU airlines can transport Pax and cargo within any EU Countries. But in the game it is possible for a Franch airline to open a base in Spain and operates flight to the rest of the world. Sorry, that is not correct and should be adjustest.

best regards

BVA is a french airport. WizzAir is an hungarian company. Yet, today Wizzair flies from Beauvais to Chisinau. Moldavia is not part of the EU (and therefore is "rest of the world"). Real life disagrees with you, dear friend. The game models reality properly, it seems.

Just because Air France doesn't fly the Frankfurt to JFK leg doesn't mean they can't.   The alliances / code shares in Europe keep the lines drawn.

Sometimes i wish people actually did some type of research when trying to say that something is wrong and needs to be fixed...

Another annoying fact is that you call this a bug and then post it in general instead of the actual bug reports...  :-[

It's not only EU openskies and it's more complicated than the OP things.

The EU is the 26 (previously 27) countries that form the European Union. EEA (European Economic Area) also Iceland, Norway, Faroe Island, and Switzerland. Openskies started in 92 with the 12 EU members at that time. It was extended to the EEA sometime in the early '00. Any EEA airline can operate flights from any EEA country to any EEA country.

As an example, Brussels airlines tried to do a Geneva Marseille flight when the agreement was extended to EEA but it did not last long.

For countries out of the EEA, it's a whole different story and is dependent on the countries' bilateral agreement with some exceptions.
The EU and USA agreed to a transatlantic open-skies agreement. I'm not sure if this has been extended to EEA as well.

When this agreement was deemed effective, Air France started a flight from LHR to LAX. A Boeing 777 would rotate CDG-LAX-LHR-LAX-CDG (multiple aircraft were needed indeed). AF wanted to tap into the market but did not succeed.

Easyjet still has a swiss airline to operate flights from Geneva to have the benefit from the swiss bilateral for countries out of EEA area.

It's more complicated in real life than in the game but do we really need to have it so detailed?
