How could this guy order 100 CRJs? I thought you could order only 50 at once.
This knowledge is helpful when I need 60 planes with a large order discount.

Its labor intensive and not worth the hassle, but you can select 50 of multiple models and manually switch them one by one on the confirmation screen.

This guy likes to really submerse himself in the airlines he runs, hence a single order  8)

The only actual reason to do this is to avoid the max order limit.

I would add that it looks cool...  :)

I once ordered 200 of something.  It took ages but "looked cool" and confused some newbies.  I can't be bothered doing it again.

The only possible real reason to do this was when being the launch customer actually meant you had to place the first order.  The problem was, by the time you spent 20 minutes manually making the  changes,  somebody else had probably beaten you to it.

well, it does make sense when you want to order e.g. 51-79 aircraft: you get the maximum discount only for 40-50 aircraft, so you cant order 51 aircraft at maximum discount (of course you can if you say 50 737-300 and 1 737-500 and then you change it to 51 737-300 before the confirmation... but that only works if there is more subtypes in the fleet type.
