List number of frames produced when line closes

When an airplane line closes and you have the announcement, why not list the total number of airframes produced during its run? 


For instance:

24-Sep-1963
Production of Boeing 720 has ended
Boeing has ended the production of their Boeing 720

A total of 60 airplanes of this type were built
