727-100 to 727-100F Query

In our world, The Jet Age, we can now convert B727-100 planes to 727-100F. This is great as I can now begin to replace all my Lockheed prop planes

It is ~1st Feb in the game world. The B727-100F was announced on the 1st Jan (~30 days ago). Almost immediately, someone had 3 B727-100F planes in their fleet. Now one airline has 140 B727-100F

Do these planes require a D check for a conversion? D checks take 60 days I thought:

They do require a D-check, but they are "converted" immediately when you click the button, so they are 727-100F on day 1 versus day 60 of the D-check.

Cheers! Now onto this query:

Aircraft in D-check with a schedule keep their schedule/slots so they are still going to show up on route timetables, but are temporarily not flying.

Although I believe, when it's a conversion (not strictly a D-Check) the slots will eventually be lost.  Also, the user will have had to re-schedule the routes manually back onto the a/c - the schedule is wiped when you click 'convert'.

Nope. Conversion works the same as any other heavy maintenance. Route counts as flown for the purpose of keeping slots, and will show up as supply on the route planning screen.
