First of all many many compliments on the game. I've been playing some other airline managing games and they were all too simple and too unrealistic. This game is fantastic so far.

However, every time I want to lease or buy an aircraft you get the message from the lease company or plane manufacturor with a summary of the lease. My problem is the heading... Dear sir,  :o

Now I know it could be hard to implement and I know I'm probably making a fuss from nothing but.... I'm not a sir..  >:(
Guessing Im probably the only girl/young woman playing this game I know you guys will think of me as a nag... and you're right but I just had to post this.

Yes the airline industry on managing level is a man's world but in real life I have a function at an airline as well and I never get messages starting with dear sir :)

Again my compliments on this fantastic game... well done.

Dear Madam,

There is a solution to this!
Go to Forum profile settings, set your gender - and voilá, you will get messages starting with "Dear Madam"
(I just checked, fooled system to think I'm female ;))

Impressive, isn't it  :)

Dasha

oi... did I miss that ...  :-[

Very very sorry

And if you need to stay in flying condition, I can help you with that  :P
After all, I was first one with correct solution...  8)

Hmmm, maybe it should say "Dear <gender not set>," if user hasn't set his/her gender...

...going to Gallows Bird to get better ideas...

It took me five minutes (with above instructions) to find that option! Luckily I'm a man.

Jps

Beware, Sami might be able to get really cheap Finnair tickets...  8)
Hmm, they're flying to Moscow, St.Petersburg and Yekaterinburg.

Dasha

Well I live in Moscow for 3 days a week and the other 4 I spend in a city resonably close to Koltsovo... but stupid enough there is no direct connection from SVX to here :)

Yes, I was getting that "Dear Sir" thing for my first week too. Then I went into my forum profile to specify gender, then afterwards it's all been "Dear Madam."

The last thing I wanted was "Dear Sir" especially when (1) my first airline was Mercy Airlines, alluding to Kwan Yin, the Goddess of Mercy, (2) my username is Gwaneum, the Korean pronunciation of Kwan Yin (appropriate as I based Mercy in Seoul), and (3) I have every intention of naming all my future airlines after a local goddess.

Hoping to get back into action with the next Air Travel Boom (or similar) so that I can put a goddess back in the air. (I left the first Air Travel Boom upon its reset - and based in Athens, I was honoring Athena there.)
