Fees Expense

Sami ... or whom ever may know,

I am attempting to create a financial model that could help me to determine the financial impact of adding new aircraft types and routes assuming certain fares and load factors. I have a good handle of the calculation of most of the revenue and expense line items from the Income Statement. The areas that I can't seem to predict correctly are the various fees expense items (Pax, Nav, Landing and Ground Handling fees). For example, the Nav Fees apparently are related to the individual routes one has regardless if they are actually flown or not as I incurred Nav Fees immediately upon opening routes in game start before anything has actually flown. I would suspect that landing fees maybe based on a combination of airport and aircraft gross weight. And Pax and Ground Handling fees seem to be related directly to the number of transported pax.

Can you lend any guidance to how these are calculated without giving away any game secrets?

Thank you Sami

I would imagine that Sami considers the fees you mentioned and the fleet commonality as proprietary since you are in effect asking for the formulas that run the game. Some things will just have to remain hidden from us to prevent exploitation and to allow for tweaking to keep the game balanced.

nav fees part include bought slots. The actual nav fees are calculated on flown routes only, based on aircraft mtow and distance, according to real-life specs. Same for the landing fees.

For handing fees a generic formula based on airport and aircraft size is used.

Thank you Sami. This helps.
