How to prevent aircraft production line from closing

I searched, but did not find a recent answer.

What is the lowest # of aircraft ordered that will stop an aircraft line from being closed to production? I think it is 2 or 3 but I would like a clearer answer.

I think it depends on the size of the aircraft.
Medium should be around 5.
But I noticed the Ilyushin IL-96M only required 3 to keep it going.
