I hope one day, the developers could revisit and adjust the prices for heavy maintenance.
It is very hard to fly planes beyond 20 years of age in this game because maintenance prices shoot through the roof. This is far from realistic as the manpower
cost per C or D check is pretty much constant no matter how old the aircraft is and manpower probably makes up the major part of the overall cost.
The other day I saw a documentary on public German TV on a 15 day C-check of a LH B747-400 registered D-ABVD, age 28 years. At the end, it is mentioned that
the total price was half a million Euros.https://www.ardmediathek.de/tv/hessenreporter/Der-gro%C3%9Fe-Jumbo-Check/hr-fernsehen/Video?bcastId=3366970&documentId=53356284In GW1 (which has lower prices overall compared to GW2) my MD-11s (same tech gen as B747-400) are already at 1 milion USD at 5 years of age. I assume they
will develop similar to my DC10s, the oldest of which (23 years) already cost 3 million USD in 1995 prices.
I know this would be boring tedious work but it would make this game a lot more enjoyable and even take some pressure of the production lines.
Thanks!
Mike
