coloured hour/minute's to indicate slot availability

I'm playing at Heathrow which is heavily slot constrained.

When creating a new route it would be amassive help if the hours and minutes in the "time of departure" selection box were coloured to indicate whether a slot was available at that time. I'd suggest the hour be green if there are any slots available in that hour, and red otherwise. Ditto with the minutes, if there is a slot at that hour and minutes, green, otherwise minute should be red.

This would help a lot when moving a flight up and down to try and squash it into an airport with next to no slots.

If some people don't like the design it could revert to the normal white and black if selected in the game options page.

massively good idea. Not sure it's easy to do, OTOH, but I'd love it.

It is technically speaking quite easy to achieve, super basic example here: http://scratchpad.io/used-tiger-8922

It would involve an extra server call each time you changed the hour dropdown though so it updates the appropriate minute dropdown colours

not an expert on it. but why not getting all the info for all the hours when opening the page directly - its not that much information (12x24=288 values)

That could work in theory, however if for some reason you were to start editing/opening a route, then walk away from your PC or switch to another task for say 30 minutes, the slot availability could well have changed and you'd potentially be looking at out of date information - not end of the world scenario of course, but potentially ruins the helpfulness of this QoL feature

Just double checked and it still works for me - did you click on either of the dropdowns?

If so, what browser & version are you using?
