Hushskin upgrade for F28s?

It is the year of 1993 in GW2 now and Chapter 3 noise certification will be implemented in the US in the year of 2000. That means aircrafts without Chapter 3 certification will not be able to fly in the US after that.

I made the mistake (sort of...) of ordering 40 new Fokker F.28 Mk 4000 with Chapter 2 noise certification for regional flights and I already paid for all of them, so it would be a huge loss to cancel them now. I made the decision because I need them asap for growth and newer more efficent CRJs won't be delivered until a few years later. (CRJ700s aren't even announced yet!) I also wanted to keep my fleet types at 3, so this seemed like a suitable plane without realizing the noise certification issue. The last delivery of my F28s will be late 1994, so about 5-6 years before Chapter 3 certification.

So I am wondering if hushskin will be available for upgrade on the F.28 Mk 4000? I plan on using them until the early 2000s and replace them with new CRJs/ERJs. Thank you all in advance for any information you may have.

I regret my decision...  :'(

Don't ever be sorry for flying Fokkers. They're amazing planes.

They get old in the early 2000s, but fortunately, plenty of kickass replacements are available then. I went CRJ because my F28s are half-empty(no secret for whoever looks at my LFs), but if F28s had been full, I'd have waited for bigger birds, as J728s or E175s.

Meh, I was not that impressed with the F28 srs. I fleet trans into them from the SE-210. Their operating costs are lower, but are small, slow and can't take standard cargo. If your flying in a cargo rich part of the world, whatever "savings" you gain from cheap OPS could be insignificant when compared with the amount of revenue and therefor profit attributed to the ability to haul standard cargo.

In hindsight, which is truly better: SE-210 10R vs F28 Mk4000. Can the ability to take 1.5k kg standard cargo make up the difference to be relevant in mid 1970s USA..?
