A and B Maintenance: Overlap or No?

I have always scheduled my B checks to starts 5 hours after my A checks do under the assumption that A equal B. It's not specific in the manual, only saying that if a B check occurs at the same time as an A check, the B check will occur. Didn't have much luck with the forum either. Basically I'm wondering if during that last week of the month, if my B check will also count as my A check or if it is necessary for both to occur.

B check includes the A check. It's OK to schedule them so that B check overlaps the A check.

For example, you schedule the A check at 1:00 to 6:00 on Mondays. That means your aircraft can not have a flight scheduled at that time on Mondays (obviously), although it can be out on a flight also between 1:00 and 6:00 Tuesdays to Sundays. The B check occurs once every month, takes 24 hours, and you schedule a day of the week and starting time for it. Once a month the game automatically cancels the flights during that time (also the A check, if scheduled) and puts the plane into maintenance. You don't have to make any consideration in the schedule for the B check, just say when you want it done. I always schedule the B check at the same time as the A check.

Merci Kontio, that was the exact answer I was looking for  ;D

If you schedule A & B checks to different times you may end up performing an unnecessary A check once a month.
