Hi everyone!
Like many of us, i am really looking forward to the opening of game world 4. However as most of my other airlines have been a complete disaster... I thought i would ask you guys on what really makes a succesful airline?

I would love to know what sort of sized airport would be good, and also maybe some recommendations for hubs in europe??

Secondly if i was to do a short-medium haul product in europe what aircraft would be good? the 732 is cheap, but expensive to run. I have heard the F70's and F100's are very good but i have never tried them out before..

However.... What i think is very important for me is the name.. I don't want something wierd like cheese air or crash air. I want something cool, swift, stylish and modern like.. Premiair or JetX.

ALL Ideas would be thankfully recieved and if i love them i will let you know and that will be the plan of my airline for GW #4!!

Thanks!!

i think the fokker 100's are fantastic aircraft and any Hub in Europe which is size 4 or above will yeild good results, unless your confident stay away away from amsterdam, frankfurt, heathrow etc, airports like Manchester, Dublin, glasgow etc are ideal as there is generally less competition.

I personally like the BAe146's for short haul European flights. Very similar to use as the Fokkers; similar fuel burn, similar capacity (70-110ish) but the 146-300 needs a third less cabin crew versus the F100. Also, the turnaround time for a 146 is 5mins less, which can be important when you are doing upto eight flight sectors per day with your aircraft.

Also, the 146's are replaced by the Avro's which are also good.

I'm having lots of Success with Fokker 100s out of JFK in Skylink's Private Game. The Fokker 50 Mk.300s are also very good for regional use. It's a shame Fokker went out of business as they made some very nice airplanes.

Ok lets start with a hub. Do you want to operate Long Haul Services? Or just Domestic and Short Haul services. I have a bunch of airports for you. PM ME!!!! =)

F100s/F70s are good. The issue is that the F70s need to be put on routes with good demand to make good money...  atleast thats what happened to me.

I think 737s (esp NGs) and potertially A320/A319/318s are good. I like the Boeings better because they are cheaper to own and operate. Plus, the -700 can operate LH (if you get the 3400nm version) to destinations.

Depending on the distance for your routes tho, Props may be a better choice. My personal choice is the Dash 8-400Q, but ATR-72/-42 are great money makers on routes under 500nm

As for your airline name, I have some.

PM ME!!! plz1 =p
