Orders for different variants got inverted

Hi,

wanted to be sure before posting a bug...
In GW#2, I ordered some 21 DC-10-10 in january 69, when it was released. Then, a few days ago (december 70), I ordered some DC-10-30.
And it appears in the order backlog that some of my -30s will be delivered before my -10s. :o
I didn't make any cancel/reorder thing, I stayed the "classic" way.

How come this is possible?

The rule is a new order for an already existing type can not be delivered before a previous order of the same type (if that makes sense) but in this case it is Your first order for a newly released type (was not offered when you ordered the 10-10's) therefore it will occasionally in deliveries before the end of the previous orders if the previous order did not fully compress leaving gaps.

In other words, I don't think it's a bug,  but more a quirk.

Then it's rather a really strange quirk, as the last ordered gets the 1st deliveries...

And about that definition of bug: yours is the right one, but I thought I'd mention it as it's something that "should not be", according to the principles of the game. In other words, there's a malfunction, but it is harmless.

In case of say the 787 it can make sense.
The -3/-8/-9 were launched in the mid 2000s, with the delivery by 2012 and the -10 in the early 2010s with delivery around 2019.

Say my initial 787 order in 2012 is for -10s, these will be delivered by 2019. If at a later time I decide to order the others it makes sense I can get them earlier due to those lines being up already.

Not saying it is perfect in your case, but I think this might be the logic behind the system...

@Novembercharlie

Knew about that one, bu in this case it's the opposite that happened. I ordered first the 10s and then the 30s. And now some of the 30s gets delivered before the 10s (most likely, as ZS said, because there were available slots in the 30 possible prod line before my 10s' delivery date).
Anyway, as I said, rather harmless. Just strange.
