Turn around - flight delays

I searched the post and can't really find an answer (some other stuff though) to this specific question:

How is it that a) all of my flights are after the 'suggested' turn around times, b) I'm the only game in tow nas far as the airport is concerend, and c) I've got 100% ground staff

I'm still at 30% delays due to short turnarounds!!!!!!!!!!

a) You will always have some delays due to short turnarounds, even if you set the turnaround times so that the game says the probability of delays is 0%.

b) What about turnarounds at the hub? Do you have the next fligh depart exactly at "Can dep again at" or do you have longer turnarounds at the hub also?

When you create a route, it tells you roughly what the delays will be using that turnaround time.  For me, the 40-min default on my A32X planes, if I don't change it, leads to about a 25% chance of delay.   Are you changing the default to something a little longer.  It doesn't take many more minutes to make a big impact. 

Also, at the hub turnarounds, if you bump your routes right up against one another you're using that default again (again, 40min in my case with A32X) which results in a high chance of delay.  I add 20 minutes to that myself, booking the next route to depart 20min after the plane can be scheduled again.

No, pretty much I've tried to go at each stop 10 min beyond what is called for. Some are even at 0% chance but still have flight delays.  I guess I can dig deeper and look at every route, but the ones I have looked at give me no reason other than short turn around.....go figure

And also, is 30% that bad? In fact, 60% of my delays are due to scheduling but I'm doing OK. Remember, it's not 30% of all your flights but 30% of you delayed flights.

Also check the length of the delays. I'm pretty sure most are just a few minutes, which doesn't affect anything. Only if there's a lot of longer than 15 minute delays should you be worried.

Thanks for all the input. I checked and yes, while 80% of my problems are too short turnarounds my % overall is pretty good and my delays are only 5 min avg. So, I feel better on this one.

I have to say that this is the only game where I've encountered people who dont mind helping others out. Refreshing!
