Company Image plunges - Ramp checks?

My company image has plummeted from ~75 to ~35 in 5 weeks... and the only thing i can see that has changed is that I got done for ramp checks on a plane with no A/B checks scheduled.

Anyone else have any experience with this???

Any negative events like being caught of not having maintainted the plane will reduce the image quite much.

I had the exact same thing happen to me.  One out of 200 planes I had, I forgot to have B checks on.  They expired.

My image got slaughtered and because of it my lines all saw loads drop.

I really doubt that real people would never fly an airline because one plane forgot to be checked.

Just one aircraft that was "forgoten" could end up killing hundreds of people. I know thats a pretty dramatic way of saying it but the fact of the matter is, people wont fly an airline that is not safe. Even if its just one aircraft.

They wouldn't find out if a plane missed a check.

We also would have employees who would handle this.

All we are saying is not destroy an airline's reputation because 0.5% of their planes haven't been scheduled for a B check when we go to sleep.

I bet they certainly would- this kind of thing would get leaked to the press and blown out of proportion. The aircraft is technically illegal to fly, insurance is invalidated, and repeat offenders would loose their license to operate passenger flights.

example = http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/04/02/southwest.faa.inspection/index.html Southwest fined US$7.5million for unsafe planes, all over the net.
