Question about Russian aircraft

I know, stay away

But I'm experimenting for the hell of it anyway, and I wonder why the turn times are so much longer.

The TU154 has a minimum turn time of 55 min, the B727 is 45

The IL62 is 100 min, whereas the relatively comparable DC8 is 55.

Perhaps reflecting the more maintenance necessary for them?

There is no maintenance being done during the turn around time though...

But SOME Russian aircrafts can be quite good actually in the early days (I am talking about 1960's). I remember many airlines in GW2 used them very successfully. They're cheap and fast in that age. But once the jet age is coming along, it's about time to get them replaced.

When we talk about the new age, the Superjets are just fine. There are not many who use them and the price is low while they have similar charateristics like the F120NG or the E-Jets. I am using them in GW2 and I could not be happier. They come in 2 sizes and are just perfect for middle sized airlines with demand of 70-200 per route. On shorter routes, I tend to go with Q400 though.
