Is company image restricted by the image of your alliance (if you're in one)?

Reason I ask is that my company image when I joined my alliance was around 70. The alliance image is around 63, and my company image is sliding ever so slightly downwards to that level despite spending quite a lot on marketing. I'm not suffering from delays or cancellation any more than I did a year ago so I cant think of any other reason why my image would be sliding downward??

I don't think so. At least my company image has been higher than alliance rating. "Spending quite a lot" is a bit vague, what marketing campaigns do you have going on? To get a really high image you need really heavy marketing and it still takes time. Another thing that may affect your image is fleet age and condition, your fleet is not disastrously old but could be a lot newer.

You did not as for any other advise, but operating ATR-72s and DHC-8-300s is killing your fleet commonality.

No it isn't. It depends on your marketing, delays/cancellations etc.

Alliance rating affects the routes, and how much extra "points" you get for the calculation of passenger demand on that route compared to others.

And "a lot" is over ~35% of incomes when speaking of marketing... Less than that would be considered normal.

You're right , that single ATR is costing me quite a bit and I am planning on ditching the single ATR in order to help with the commonality issue. It's just a matter of timing and getting an alternative aircraft. I'm going to start ordering the bombardier Q400 shortly to replace the ATR, the DHC-300 and maybe the BAE146-200's too. That should give me a two type fleet and also lower the average age of the fleet quite a bit too.

As far as marketing is concerned I probably have let it slide now that you mention it. I've been trying to build up some cash recently to make an aircraft order. As a proportion of income, marketing was much higher earlier in the game. I will have a look at this and invest some cash.
