I need beginner advice

Juan Carlos

I am still in the "trial period."  I have started an airline and am travelling with two Boe 737-300E to two cities each

I picked cities to travel to that have "no competition" on the routes and they are all 100% economy

I left the default prices that came up

When the first "stats" came in, my load factors were 91%, 31%, 56%, and 32%

I've lowered prices on all routes 10% TWICE

No change.

WTF????

Any advice?  If so, thanks in advance. :(

I would leave prices on default.

You should look at Office -> Route Image

Route Image goes up every week.  The higher it goes, the more passengers will know about your airline and will be willing to fly it.  So gradually, your Load Factors will rise.

Thanks Jumbo,

That was frustrating, but the marketing worked!!

The Route Image goes up on its own, as long as you are flying it.  You can also accelerate it by spending money on Route specific marketing.

In addition to Route Image, which affects individual route, there is also the other "Image".  Company Image, which affects the whole company.  You can increase that one with general marketing.  It rises very slowly, but it has a small positive effect on all of your routes.

Thanks for this.

I started "route marketing" AND "company-wide marketing" at your first advice.  Route is doing better but certainly not where I want it.

This gaming without a "fast forward" button is difficult for me to get used to.

Waiting for aircraft to show up.  Ugh.

LOL

Thanks again for the help!!
