Passenger Demand #2
« on: November 26, 2015, 04:50:58 PM »
So i have a flight, its been going for a month or so now

Departure   Leeds Bradford, EGNM (LBA), United Kingdom United Kingdom   2035 NM
Destination   Tel Aviv - Ben-Gurion, LLBG (TLV), Israel

YO115   EGNM - LLBG   06:30 - 14:00   Every day
YO116   LLBG - EGNM   15:20 - 19:05

The Estimated passenger demand   ~170 passengers / day - Estimation accuracy   90%

No other airline is flying this route

Assigned to: Boeing 737-700, (#1025)
Seat config: Y126, C0, F0

YO115   EGNM - LLBG
Sold seats   52.6 / 126
Load factor   41.7%

YO116   LLBG - EGNM
Sold seats   58.7 / 126
Load factor   46.6%

Could someone advise where im going wrong?

Just to note ive put the price down to 183 so im needing to get to 67(outbound)51% & 70(inbound)55% seats sold just to break even

1 month of real life, or one month in the game? If it's one month in the game, that's perfectly normal : Route image is still low(Hence Sami's question).

But I just checked : Leeds-Tel Aviv is 2035NM. That's just enough to kick in the "too small penalty" for that kind of planes. Though, usually, it waits 200+ demand before striking, and you are at 170.

Still, it's a dangerous road to fly with such a plane. A too small plane makes people flee.

the route image was 27. i decided to cancel it, cut my losses and put the plane on a route over subscribed by others and try win the custom. i guess ill just have to try raise my prices on other routes to make up for it. i have plenty that are 95%+ LF so ill just keep creeping these up

at RI 27, its normal to lose money, if the route is not to short. That's a long investment, that kind of route(that's where advertisement helps). But if you cannot afford to keep it losing money for still 2/3 months, then closing it was the right decision.

Start an ad campaign to get the score to grow quicker.   What time of day are you flying it?  Are you flying it everyday?
