Advanced Stats

Hi All, just out of curiosity, does anyone else besides me think there is a value to having Unit stats (CASM/RASM) available at an airline level? I feel like its a bit hard to measure performance purely based on actual financial results, as new aircraft are being added, ones going to maintenance, cancellations, etc really impact your performance week over week, because no two weeks are the same. I would find it valuable to have the following stats (my Wishlist anyway):

  • Full Airline RASM

    • Once Cargo is implemented, split into PRASM & CRASM
  • Full Airline CASM

    • also Airline CASM excluding fuel
  • Full Airline RPM
  • It would be very cool if we could also get scheduled and completed Departures, split by type if possible

It would be even cooler if this data were given in a weekly format, like the income statements, balance sheets, etc. I work in a financial analysis team for a major airline, and these stats are how we measure our performance at all times. its very rare to hear actual hard profit/loss numbers in finance or commercial side of the organization.
