Paying for C Checks without money

i wouldnt call it cheating.

I think that C and D checks should be allowed even if the airline is in the red, because if someone is struggling to get back into profit this is not going to help them very much because planes are then grounded and fines are imposed. Also the ability to cancel leases should be allowed to get rid of inefficient planes.

This kind of ties with my threat about being in the red but still carrying passengers.  In game #3 there is an airlines that has been in debt now for almost one whole week.  They have literally NOT had ANY money in 7 calendar days.  That's a ton of A B and C checks that are somehow being paid for on credit.

I think that it is cheating to a degree.  This player can sit there to hurt anyone wanting to use those lines until the game boots him after over one week (Sami said that it can be up to 8 days before someone that far in the red is booted)

yeah but you gotta remember they are also paying real money to sit there and do that, you never know they might be on holiday or something.

yes it is annoying but as soon as they go (and they will eventually fold) you can be ready to pick up the peices!

i still dont see it as cheating, this is a current game feature.

Well, he will disapere in due time. You dont need to mention it in every thread - I understand it can be frustrating, but the current form is fair, as someone on vacation might go into the red, but they will at least have time to get out of it....

Airlines in the real world get away with this all the time. Even though they are not actually generating sufficient revnue to pay for their expenses, they continue to operate on lines of credit and overdraft. Staff still gets paid, maintenence continues to be done, until eventually Chaper 11 happens.

There is a certain credit limit on the items, for the heavy maintenances it was like -10 million or so. Less money than that, they are not made.

You just cannot put airline out of business if he is temporarily low on cash (although might do otherwise just fine). It not nearly at all that black and white. But for airlines that will go bust, this slows it down a littlebit ... But allows players to recover from it if they are able.

Some real world airlines that have collapsed have been £130ml pounds in debt.

They still continued to fly for months even years before banks/investors pulled the plug on them, this is a very realistc factor of the game, and is not cheating at all!

If every airline went bust at being £1 in the red and not being able to pay for C checks, there would probably not be any airlines in the world!
