Alliance cancellation

How can I make an alliance cancellation before it forms at all? I cancelled my invitation for one airline but didn't cancel the second one - this player agreed. And now we can't be free - the second (agreed) player can't find any cancellation button and as I think we need to wait one year before it will be put down automatically??? :o
