Random Events - Crowdsourcing

Logged on to game world one to read the latest world news:

A local catering service faces police investigations after half the staff of Kaliningrad (UMKK / KGD) went ill just a day after the annual airport party. Despite the fact staff was called back from holidays and from other airports about half the flights must be cancelled and others might be delayed. Things should be normal again in less than a week.

Seems like somebody drank too much at the Christmas party  ;)

This made me laugh. Then it made me think.

Is there a thread for community suggested random events? If there is please send me there, if not would Sami mind if we made one. Then perhaps over time we could expand the scenarios to make them less repetitive.

Maybe run a competition and the funniest but plausible random event gets the honour of being included in the game.

Let me know what you think, cheers  :)

No separate thread, but the database of events could be expanded.

For that let's say 1-3 eager individuals would be the best team, rather than a fully open thread for example. There's a simple structure for the events, a bit more than just a description and title since the event's "magnitude" needs to be determined by the system so that it can create them in a smart manner.

Another what would be needed is collecting images for the existing events (for news).

If you wanted to pursue this then PM me with some details that you think are necessary and I will see if I can think of some extra scenarios not already included. Maybe some others will help out, I don't know. But I guess it won't be a big "project" just a few new ideas maybe periodically added.

Hey all, I'd like to expand the database of the events now and alexgv1 was unavailable to start this task talked here due to other commitments. If we could find 1-2 persons interested in creating more random world events the please PM me. It's a rather simple thing technically but requires some imagination of course. ;)
