Hello Guys!,

I'm new to Airway Sim and love it so far. I have a question though. What does this mean? I know what everything else means but i haven't been able to figure this out. Can anyone explain what it is and how to increase it? Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Revenue per ASK is the turnover you make per available seat kilometer in cents. So the 5.80 cents in your first example are a breakdown from, let's say a plane with 100 seats flying a route of 500 kilometers = 50,000 available seat kilometers. Your total revenue on that flight was 2,900 USD, which if you divide by 50,000 gives you 5.80 cents.

Yield per RPK is very similar, but this time it's the revenue per sold seat kilometer. So, say the plane in the above example is 80% full. That's .8 x 50,000 = 40,000 seat kilometers sold. Your revenue is still the same 2,900 of course; which you now divide by 40,000 to get your yield = 7.25 cents (the result differs from your value because obviously I don't know the exact characteristics and pricing of your route).

I hope this clears things up. The numbers are virtually irrelevant for playing the game.
