Route Demand Estimates

I have a question on demand. If I click the route planning on say Chicago O'Hare and Atlanta Hatsfield-Jackson I get a demand of 1680 per day. I close the box, and go back in a moment later its now 1720. Is this a glitch, on purpose? I know its just and estimate but I'm trying to understand how its generated.

If you look carefully you will find a note in the demand box showcasing the accuracy of that display, which can never get over 95% so it will always fluctuate a bit. It depends on the staff morale of your route planning division and can also be lower.
