For the last few days, any time I have tried to load AWS on my phone it says..

''Access denied. The website access has been denied from this IP address. This service has been blocked due to misuse from this address or other security reasons.''

We are using a new anti-spam service from a third party that auto updates itself every hour with the latest blacklist. If you can check what IP address your phone's connection has (viewmyip.com) and post it here, so I can then see thr database what it says..

The list contains true and known spammers but it may be possible that some connection providers assign same outgoing IPs for many users, or that IP you had was recently used by a spammer and hence blacklisted.

Thanks for the fast reply Sami.

My IP address is 92.251.255.12

Sami

Will it stay always the same or does it change if you turn the mobile data connection off/on (or turn phone off/on) .. I do see that IP listed in the database but only once about two weeks ago.

There are though also database entries for other IPs (92.251.255.13, 92.251.255.14, 92.251.255.15, 92.251.255.18) which I presume are for the same operator too so not sure if it helps.

Its a strange one, I just turned off my data and back on again and it now works.

Since I first saw that message a couple of days ago my phone has been restarted a couple of times though. ???

Anyway, it now seems to work which is the main thing. Thanks Sami.

perhaps your phone's data was being sent thru somewhere else?   That's possibly dangerous

TPMP

Really? Is there any way of finding that out?

The problem has returned. I was in work this morning and checked it on the phone and once again I was unable to log in. Its a pain. My laptop has broke in the last week and my only source of internet (apart from if I use my fathers laptop) is my phone.

There must be a way of fixing it? :(

could be your work network has a block on sites classified as 'gaming'.

TPMP

That wouldnt explain why its blocked at home though.

When I'm not logged-in I also get an access denied anywhere on the site but the forum. It seems to be working ok when I'm logged-in. I know that all people with my ISP are behind some kind of giant country-wide proxy. I also know that my ISP is famous for being on lists of "open proxies"... As long as I can access the forum to log-in, I guess it's ok.

it seems to be common if you are running 3g data playing AWS, depend on your network operator you may change IP or sharing IP with other user(who may be playing AWS at the same time).

the only real solution to this matter is to run a vpn/proxy back home or something so your IP stays the same. Not ideal i know but I am also having the same problem(especially when I transit to airport)

Aoitsuki has the winner answer.

Most internet access currently use IPV4 version of IP for which the stock of available numbers is almost sould out.

As a result and untill we all use IPV6 (which offer much more possibilities) 3G network and somtimes ISP use shared IP and proxy to reduce their need of new IP addresses.
If you can't access to AWS turn off and on you mobile phone to have an other IP allocated to your connection.

Should it not be sufficient to activate Airplane Mode for a short time and then disable it again? Would that not assign a new IP?

slannoy

Could be but depend how the network handle it.
