Automatic D check done on no check schedule A/C?

Mr.HP

Hi,

I was under the assumption that no checks would be done automatically if the A/C hasn't been scheduled for A and B checks. Yet, my A/C just returned from lease and was put into D check automatically. Would anyone clarify the issue, please?

Thank you very much

The only way I'm aware of keeping aircraft from going into D check is found on this page:
Dashboard ->Settings....

On the Aircraft settings tab uncheck "Automatically perform D check maintenance."

Of course this will now apply to all your aircraft.

I've had that happen a few times with c-checks being done on returning aircraft : I assumed its because, even though not scheduled, it is now 'yours' again and the system presumed auto-check applied to it.

It is a bit odd, the system ignoring the expired A-B checks on returning aircraft but then auto-checking on C-D's, when an aircraft is not actually operationally scheduled.

Or put it on the market.

If I leave my un-used non-scheduled checks A/C park around, it doesn't have the checks done automatically

The A/C is returned right before D check, and when I logged in, it's had the check done already  >:(

So add the D-check to the leasing price for the next person, same as the brokers do. :)

But yeah, you were under the wrong assimption. If heavy maintenance is set to auto, heavy maintenance is done for all your available to schedule planes, including the parked ones and the just returned.

That'll work, unless the A/C is 20+ years old, and is not a hot one, and I was planning to scrap it  :-\

When I was in JA, I signed to lease Commando for too long. I remember parking a bunch of them for almost 2 years, and no checks were done. I did ask in Alliance forum and someone confirmed me that no heavy checks would be done on parking A/C  :-\

maybe it needs Sami to confirm if the auto-check system differentiates between leased parked aircraft and owned ones?

Sounds like you got some bum advice. Only A/B checks are not done when parked when auto C/D checks are turned on.

No need. It doesn't differentiate. If auto C/D checks are on, then any parked planes that are NOT for sale will have C/D checks performed. A/B checks will only be performed if they are scheduled.

Thats what I always assumed : I have noticed that there dont seem to be any warning messages sent when one gets sent to the hangar, so its easy to miss : you just get a maintenance completion message afterwards which doesnt identify the plane.
